Florida Bar Board Certified Civil Trial Specialist
Alan Sackrin’s 39+ years of experience as a civil trial lawyer makes him especially qualified to handle even the most complicated slip and fall case. In 1991, he became certified as a Civil Trial Expert by The Florida Bar, which means he can refer to himself as a slip and fall trial expert before state courts, federal courts, administrative agencies, and arbitrators. Will An Out of Town Client Have To Come Back To Florida To Pursue A Claim?
Most slip and fall claims are settled without a jury trial and without the need for the victim to return to Florida. (95% of all personal injury claims settle). However, if the claim is not settled and a lawsuit is filed, then the victim may have to come back to Broward County between 1-3 times. The number of times depends on if the case goes to trial, which doesn’t happen very often (5% of personal injury cases got to trial).
The bottom line here, is almost all slip and fall cases are settled, which means it is unlikely a victim will be required to return to Florida to get compensation, but it can happen.
